Long Term Infrastructure Plan
Frankston City Council’s Long Term Infrastructure Plan 2021-2031(PDF, 18MB) (LTIP) is our 10-year Plan for Building Frankston’s Future. It guides Council and shapes Frankston City’s future in line with our new Community Vision and Council Plan.
Council recognises the need for transparency and accountability to ensure excellence in Frankston’s infrastructure management and planning activities, with the objective of this LTIP seeking to achieve this.
Our integrated planning approach ensures there is a pipeline of projects identified in the LTIP to deliver service outcomes that meet the community’s needs.
While this is a long-term Plan, Council is also aware of the serious, immediate and potentially long-term impacts the COVID-19 pandemic may have on the LTIP. As a Council, we have responded quickly to the changing needs of our community with continued support through the Recovery Package outlined in the 2021–2022 Annual Budget.
Despite this, Council is committed to delivering the best it possibly can for our community, with an exciting $64.885 million Capital Works Program planned for the 2021/22 financial year, comprising a significant $23.761 million investment into the renewal and replacement of our existing infrastructure, to safeguard its future use.
The LTIP represents significant investment in our open spaces, streetscapes, sports and recreational infrastructure. Council has a number of major projects in the LTIP, such as:
- Jubilee Park Multi-Purpose Stadium Redevelopment
- Pavilion redevelopments at a number of key reserves including Kevin Collopy Pavilion at Jubilee Park, Monterey Reserve, Pat Rollo Reserve, Eric Bell Reserve and Lloyd Park
- Regional and District Playgrounds at Ballam Park and Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve
- Rehabilitation of Hall Road
- Various revitalisation projects in the Frankston city centre
and many others that will deliver vital services and infrastructure needs to the community.
