The next event in Backyard Biodiversity Series 2026 is a planning and design workshop on how to plant your nature strip to be wildlife and pollinator friendly.

This comprehensive workshop includes preparing the space, recognising canopy shading patterns, understory planting, maintenance, plant selection, meeting Council’s guidelines and lots more.

Bring along a simple drawing of your verge dimensions, north orientation, and any established plants already in the space (with approximate dimensions) and leave with a plan that will suit your nature strip.

We are excited to welcome back native plant expert, horticulturalist Leanne, as our specialist presenter.
