Disability Access and Inclusion Committee
Calling for New Member Applications
The Frankston City Council is seeking expressions of Interest from local residents and organisational representatives interested in joining Council’s Disability Access & Inclusion Committee (DAIC). Four (4) resident positions and two (2) organisational positions are available as per the ‘committee’s terms of reference’. The DAIC comprises of 12 members, including eight (8) community and four (4) organisational representatives.
- All positions are voluntary
Applicants must be Frankston City Council residents and have a:
- Personal experience of disability,
- Be a carer of someone with a disability
- And/or have substantial experience in the disability field.
Organisational applicants must represent:
- A disability service within Frankston Municipality and/or
- Represent organisations that provide disability or carer services within the municipality
The DAIC advises Council on actions outlined in the Municipals Health and Wellbeing Plan 2017-21 and ensures Access and Inclusion remains a priority for Council and the community. A maximum of 8 committee meetings occur each year and tenure is for a minimum of two years. The committee meeting is held approximately every two months on Tuesday evening (6-8pm) at the Frankston city Library community room.

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to attend an interview as part of the selection process.
