Families to flock to Frankston for Christmas Festival fun
Published on 18 November 2025
Frankston City Council will mark the beginning of this year’s festive period with the annual Frankston Christmas Festival on Saturday 29 November.
One of the City’s most popular annual events, Frankston’s CBD will come alive with a variety of activities and events for the entire family to enjoy.
There will be music, food, and entertainment to keep everyone enthralled as the sun goes down before the Tree Lighting Ceremony and fireworks display at 9.15pm to finish the event on a high.
Spend the afternoon checking out creations and gift ideas from our talented locals and small businesses at the Little Beauty Christmas Twilight Market in Beauty Park, see the Smurfs Winter Wonderland Live Show at the Art Centre, line the streets for the Official Christmas Parade and transport yourself to the Northern Hemisphere at the European Christmas Village, swaying to the sounds of the Itchy Freet Pep Band.
Those with an eye for fashion can bond with fellow Ugly Christmas Sweater enthusiasts at our designated picture stop, while if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, the traditional rides and amusements can be found on Baxter Street and in Beauty Park.
Frankston City Deputy Mayor Steffie Conroy said her family was looking forward to seeing the streets packed with Christmas cheer for what is an unmissable event.
“For my two children, nothing says ‘Christmas is coming’ quite like the Frankston Christmas Festival. It’s the perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate one of the most exciting times of year.”
“I’m looking forward to embracing the Christmas spirit, sharing the local love of our city, spreading good cheer and welcoming a season of peace and togetherness at this year’s festival.”
Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Light is proudly presented by Frankston City Council.
