Family Health Support Services

Council's Family Health Support Services welcomes volunteers to assist in the following areas:

  • Meals on Wheels
    Volunteers are welcome to assist our staff with food preparation, plating up and hygiene components within our kitchen. Other roles at Meals on Wheels also include driving/delivering meals to our clients
  • Frankston Seniors' Festival
    Assist staff with the organisation and running of activities and events throughout the festival
  • Planned Activity Group Program
    Assisting staff at activities and outings in the community
  • Positive Ageing Reference Group
    Provide feedback and advice to Council on issues facing older people

Frankston Visitor Information Centre

The Frankston Visitor Information Centre is a showcase for Frankston as a part of the Mornington Peninsula. We assist over 50,000 visitors each year. We invite volunteers to assist with:

  • Promoting Frankston City and the Mornington Peninsula as a tourism and event destination
  • Customer service to visitors in the Centre, phone and email
  • Merchandise displays and sales
  • Brochure inventory

It is an excellent opportunity for people wanting to expand their skills, share their knowledge, and meet new people.

Volunteer Drivers for L2P

Help young people in the local community by being a driving mentor one hour a week in the L2P program. The L2P learner driver mentor program is funded by the TAC and managed by VicRoads. Training, insurance and car provided.

VIC SES volunteers come from different professions, backgrounds and all walks of life. As well as saving the lives and property of many Victorians, VIC SES volunteer members experience many personal benefits from volunteering.
