Applications for the COVID-19 Fast Business Grants are now open. This funding supports the ongoing operations of small businesses highly impacted by COVID-19. There is a $270,000 pool of funding available with $1500 per business available.
IF your Frankston City business can demonstrate a significant downturn as a result of the pandemic, and it meets the specific guidelines outlines below, then you can apply for one of 180 fast business grants.
Funding can be allocated for utilities, Council rates, telecommunication charges, insurance payments, professional advice, or other as applied.

Applications for the 2020 Invest Frankston Business Grants are now open. This year has a grant pool of $180,000 available for businesses.

Kerbside Dining Encouragement Grant
Up to $2,000
Applications for 2020 are now closed. The next round of grant funding will open mid-2021.
The objective of the Kerbside Dining Encouragement Grant is to brighten and stimulate the city centre, by activating the streets with increased outdoor dining activity. This will be achieved by supporting new and existing food and drink businesses to increase alfresco outdoor dining opportunities
Council and the Victorian Government are working together to provide grants worth $2,000 each and city centre-based businesses can now apply for funds towards outdoor furniture and fittings.

Facade Improvement Grant
Up to $5,000 – matched dollar-for-dollar by the Victorian Government
Applications for 2020 are now closed. The next round of grant funding will open mid-2021.
The Façade Improvement Program has been designed to encourage and facilitate business owners, operators and landlords to enhance the presentation of their building or business in the City Centre.
This investment and contribution to the amenity of a more interesting street experience, can have a significant effect on the attractiveness and marketability of the surrounding area, therefore supporting and inspiring further business investment.
To support this investment, Frankston City Council in partnership with the Victorian State Government are offering matched-fund grants to assist in exterior façade renovations of buildings located within the Frankston city centre.

Major Local Community Events Grant

The Major Local Community Events Grants provide funding to support locally initiated events that significantly benefit Frankston City residents and build local capacity for participation in, celebratory, cultural and artistic activities.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic government restrictions, successful applicants will only be permitted to run their event if there are no applicable mass gathering restrictions in place, which would reasonably allow the event to occur. Discussions will be had between the events team and successful applicants to determine reasonable time frames.

Tourism Event Attraction Grants
$12,000

Applications close: 4pm, Monday 31 August
The Tourism Event Attraction Program has been designed to attract events that drive economic returns outside of the event and give both visitors and residents year-round reasons to seek out and experience our City’s urban bayside location.
Two grants have been made available through the program, to support event management companies wishing to create or relocate their tourism event to Frankston.
To date, the program has supported the delivery of 20 events over four years. These events have attracted over 200,000 people and have contributed an additional $35.157 million into the local economy.
