Job Purpose:

The Stylist provides a dressing service for our clients. This involves meeting clients (both physically and on-line) discussing with them their style preferences and needs and selecting a full outfit for the client to keep.

The Stylist undertakes this work in a non-judgemental way and engages with clients throughout the dressing experience with the aim of providing a safe environment for the client to relax and enjoy.

The Stylist also helps sort and assess stock that is donated. This also involves weighing donations, ironing, steaming and size-tagging of garments, and bagging up textile recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and ensure they feel welcome whether it is physically in the Dressing room or virtually on-line.
  • Assess what items of clothing the client needs
  • Find suitable outfits for the client and provide feedback throughout the dressing session.
  • Asking permission (and confirming in writing) to take photos of the client.
  • Packing up outfits for the client to take home, or post for virtual clients.
  • Completing DFSV paperwork as required for each client.
  • Discussing the benefits of the Career Hub and getting client sign-up.
  • Ensuring the Dressing and sorting areas are left tidy at the end of the day.
  • Performing end-of-shift cleaning activites.
  • Ensuring you sign in and out for each rostered shift.
  • Working within OH&S guidelines.
  • Following DFSV policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Respect for client confidentiality and personal circumstances

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to complete required training (e.g. orientation, stock handling)
  • Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g., lifting donations up to 10kg)
  • Able to stand for lengthy time periods
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Police Check

Location:  Frankston

Hours:    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.15am until 3.15pm
