Superheroes young and old will be the guests of honour at this year’s Party in the Park, returning to the stunning Cruden Farm on Sunday April 12 for another year as one of Frankston City’s annual highlights.

The venue will transform into a wonderland for families and children, with music, rides, activities and food and drink options to keep the kids entertained.

Attendees are encouraged to don their favourite superhero costume for the event to match this year’s theme as the venue becomes a wonderland of discovery for the youngest community members.

Falling on the middle weekend of the school holiday period, this free event is an ideal opportunity to get the family out of the house and into nature for a day of fun and making memories and exploring a treasured location in Frankston City.

“Every year Party in the Park is one of Frankston City’s most loved family events, and we’re so excited that it’s back for another year in 2026,” Mayor Baker said.

“Our events team has put together a fantastic array of activities and things to do, so there will be something for Party guests of all ages to enjoy.

“Cruden Farm is such an incredible location for this event and we’re so lucky to have the facility available to us.”

Among the highlights of this year’s Party include the interactive animal farm, where you can meet and cuddle some adorable little creatures, pony rides, and a vast array of superhero-themed activities including facepainting, crafts, and character meet and greets.

Sensory activity spaces will also provide an inclusive environment for those who need a break from the action.

Be entertained at the main stage hosted by Em’s World with highlights including the Funky Monkey Unexpected Superheroes Show with live band, Melbourne Puppet Kerfuffle, Highwire Astronaut Acrobats, Frankston City Libraries storytime, and performances from Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) and Leawarra Calisthenics team.

Food and drink vendors will be on site for those looking for a tasty treat, and a number of local businesses, community groups, sporting clubs and emergency services will hold exhibition stalls.

“Making memories is what school holidays and events like this are all about,” Mayor Baker said.

“We’ve already had a massive start to the year with major events in Frankston, with events such as Waterfront Festival, Street Art Festival and the ongoing Sand Sculpting Championships. Party in the Park is next on the calendar, and we’re so excited to bring another free, fun event for our community to enjoy.”

Daniel Johnson, Executive Director from Cruden Farm said he was looking forward to hosting Party in the Park for another huge day of fun at such a historic venue.

“We love opening the gates at Cruden Farm every year for Party in the Park and welcoming children and new visitors to our beautiful space.

“Our beautifully manicured gardens offer eight hectares of incredible fauna for everyone to explore. We can’t wait to see the space filled with superheroes and their families in what will be another special day.

Party in the Park is just one of a number of fun and exciting events taking place these school holidays for children to enjoy, alongside the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships running through to 26 April.

PINES Forest Aquatic Centre has been extended through to Sunday 19 April, while Frankston City Libraries has plenty of activities across their seven locations. While Frankston enjoyed a hugely successful summer festival season, the action will continue during the cooler months, with Southside Festival in May, and the new Winter Fire Festival in June.
