The theme of National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week 2022 (3 – 10 July 10) is “Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!”
Mayor Nathan Conroy said: “Frankston City Council is committed to Reconciliation and we have been consistently working towards this goal for many years and not just during key events like NAIDOC Week.
“All year round, we are keen to acknowledge, promote and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders,” the Mayor said.
This year, the Council is involved in the following events for NAIDOC Week:
Mayor Conroy added: “Frankston City Council is committed to an inclusive and diverse community, and we are proud of its First Nations People’s heritage and culture. We welcome the community at large to attend events for NAIDOC Week 2022.”
