Graze Frankston City food festival has something for everyone
Published on 25 March 2021
The 2021 Graze Frankston City food festival is bursting with awesome flavours, mouth-watering dishes, meal packages and drink specials that will delight patrons.
Proudly presented by Council, Graze Frankston City features tempting offers from 30 businesses across the City that patrons can enjoy for dine-in, takeaway and delivery.
North-West Ward Cr Steven Hughes said now is a perfect time to discover new flavours and rediscover old favourites to support dining venues in Frankston City as the municipality begins to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Graze is a fantastic opportunity to support our hard working hospitality businesses, who are vital to the economic wellbeing of Frankston City.
“These businesses have put their hand up to create some really unique and enticing meals, drinks and experiences for everyone to enjoy. From handmade dumplings and vegan hotdogs to colourful cocktails and brunch specials, Graze has it all. I encourage locals and visitors to sample the many tasty treats that are available.
“Businesses have not paid or been paid to participate in this program. They are all local restaurants, cafes, breweries and distilleries who want to showcase their passion for food and drink to residents and visitors,” Cr Hughes said.
Cr Hughes added locals and visitors who capture a photograph or video of their grazing moments and share on Facebook or Instagram using #grazefrankstoncity will go into the weekly draw to win a $50 voucher to attend a participating venue of their choice.
“Stay tuned to updates and information on Facebook @grazefrankstoncity and Instagram @grazefrankstoncity for more chances for you to win,” Cr Hughes said.
Frankston International Manager, Phil Jones, said Graze provides a great opportunity for people to sample great food and beverage offerings – from well-established restaurants and bars to exciting new distilleries and breweries – right here in Frankston City.
Mr Jones said Frankston International’s Taggarts Restaurant is excited to partner with Seaford distillery, That Spirited Lot Distillers, for the first Graze Frankston City.
Mr Jones added that Taggarts Restaurant has been operating in Frankston for 20 years and is the only restaurant in the region with an entire dining menu which is completely low FODMAP friendly.
That Spirited Lot Distillers co-founder, Kate Barton, said: “We love our local area so we’re super excited to be participating in the first Graze Frankston City.
“There’s so much creative cooking and delicious food experiences on offer around Frankston City and our hand crafted gins are the perfect refreshing addition to your favourite meal.
“We wanted to create a unique experience to celebrate this awesome initiative, so Taggarts Restaurant and the team at That Spirited Lot Distillers decided to bring patrons an amazing matched menu to show off what we both can do.
“Book at Taggarts Restaurant to enjoy this delicious Graze Frankston experience or drop by That Spirited Lot’s cellar door to say hello and try a selection of our favourites in a spirit flight,” Ms Barton said.
