Get Ready to Paw-ty at Frankston’s Great Pet-Together!
Published on 24 September 2025
Costumed canines, dachshund races, pup cup eating contests, and ‘goat’ yoga - Frankston’s Great Pet-Together is hitting Ballam Park on Sunday 12 October and it’s set to unleash some serious fun!
Dedicated to our furry besties, The Great Pet-Together is packed with entertainment, free activities, market stalls, food trucks, and of course – loads of cuddles with cute pups and friendly goats.
Frankston Council Deputy Mayor Steffie Conroy said this was a joyful celebration of pets, community, and all the quirky ways they bring us together.
“Where else can you race a dachshund, cuddle a goat, and shop for gourmet dog biscuits all in one place?” she said.
“We’re proud to welcome our newest pet-friendly community event this year. Our community has told us how much they have missed it, and with so many pet lovers in our city, it was only right to bring it back.”
Frankston is home to more than 23,715 registered pets — that’s 17,528 dogs and 6,187 cats.
Some highlights on the day include:
Wag and Walk with Ray White Langwarrin
Join the morning Community Dog Walk and take a friendly lap of Ballam Park with other pet enthusiasts. Grab your complimentary show bag packed with goodies from our sponsor Ray White Langwarrin.
Scratch Competition Arena
Head over for a pup cup eating contest, dachshund races, and a pet costume parade. Entries require pre-event registration.
Goat Yoga
If you’ve never heard of goat yoga, now is your chance to give it a try! 30 minute sessions are scheduled throughout the day – no bookings required – just show up.
Live Butterfly Gazebo
A magical butterfly enclosure where curious kids can interact with Monarch butterflies and learn about their lifecycle.
Explore, connect and learn what makes Frankston such a pet-loving place at one of several market stalls, enjoy flyball demonstrations, and learn from local experts how pets, bees, and bins can coexist.
Treat your pet to some retail therapy at the pet market, from handmade accessories to gourmet dog treats, luxury petwear, toys, and even a mobile pup café.
Make sure to check out the delicious lineup of food trucks, including Hot Didely Dogs, Mike’s Souvlaki, Chubby Bao, Acai Events, Pup-up Crepes and plenty more to keep you full all day long.
This free community celebration is set to be the ultimate pet-friendly day out for kids, families, and pet owners.
All dogs must be on a leash at all times.
