You can apply to amend your planning permit if you need to change:
- conditions of a planning permit
- the use or development for which the planning permit was issued
- approved plans.
Please read the conditions on your planning permit to make sure you can amend it, including the expiry date.
The process for amending a planning permit is the same as applying for a new planning permit. The Responsible Authority has the right to grant or refuse an application.
If your application is to a permit that was submitted in SPEAR, your request should be submitted online through SPEAR by your land surveyor.
Submitted documents must be redacted to remove personal information. If you do not supply appropriately redacted documents, Council will undertake this for a fee. See Council’s Redacting Plans and Documents Guide.
You can appeal a decision to grant or refuse an application to amend a planning permit. Appeals must be lodged with Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), along with the relevant forms and fees.
