Long Term Infrastructure Plan
Frankston City Council’s Long Term Infrastructure Plan(PDF, 17MB) (LTIP) is our 10-year Plan for Building Frankston’s Future, shaped by our Community Vision and Council and Wellbeing Plan.
Council is committed to transparency and accountability as the foundations of excellence in capital works planning and management. The LTIP’s objectives are designed to uphold this commitment and support long-term, strategic decision-making.

Our integrated approach ensures a pipeline of projects that meet current and future community needs.
A renewed funding strategy has seen Council pivot towards wider-reaching projects, with a focus on asset renewal, upgrades and city beautification. This approach continues to deliver meaningful investment in the places that matter most – including open spaces, streetscapes, sports and recreation infrastructure and our city centre.
In recent years, Council has progressed many major projects such as the redevelopment of the Frankston Stadium, Frankston Arts Trail, improvements at Sandfield Reserve and upgrades to family services in Seaford and Langwarrin.
The delivery of the LTIP has been instrumental in driving real progress across our city. To ensure we can continue to build the future our community wish to see, a renewed 10-year plan was adopted by Council on 8 September 2025.
