Volunteering Frankston Opportunities and Information

"Volunteering in Frankston City"

Volunteering Frankston is a Council-run program that promotes volunteering and supports over 100 registered community organisations throughout Frankston City and the wider community.

Volunteering Frankston offers an online portal to search for Volunteer opportunities, offers volunteer matching, and provides training and support to registered community organisations to build their skills and connect with volunteers in the community.

Printed volunteer position descriptions are also available in the Volunteering Frankston area at the entrance to the Frankston Library, to make volunteering opportunities more accessible.

Over 100 community organisations are registered with Volunteering Frankston. Registered organisations can upload their volunteer positions to the online portal.  They can also provide copies of their volunteer opportunities in the Volunteering Frankston area in the Frankston Library.

Volunteering Frankston also runs the Volunteering Frankston Awards Volunteers (who volunteer for a registered organisation), who commit their time to the Frankston City and wider community can be nominated for an award. Organisations or individuals are able to nominate volunteers for recognition across six categories: Service, Leadership, Environmental and Animal Welfare, Youth Community, Senior Community and Teamwork.

Registered organisations can self-nominate for the Organisation Award ($1,000 prize).

Nominations open at midday in April each year, and close in National Volunteer Week.
