NAIDOC Week 7-14 July 2024

The National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week runs from 7-14 July, and this year’s theme is “Keep the Fire Burning”. We encourage residents to take part in events celebrating the cultures of Aborigines and Torres Strait islanders: 

Flag Raising at Nairm Marr Djambana

Monday 8^th July 2024 , 10am – 12 noon.
Flag raising, Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony. Cultural Dances and morning tea.

Naidoc Family Day at Nairm Marr Djambana.

Thursday 11^th July 2024, 11am – 2pm
Naidoc family day, Free event, Activities for children, Elders yarning space, BBQ lunch and refreshments.

Dinner Dance 

Frankston City Council is a Platinum Sponsor of the NAIDOC  Dinner Dance/Awards Night 2024 at Mornington Racecourse on Saturday 6 July, from 6:30pm.
