Our Youth Spaces

Visit us at Frankston Youth Central or our 6 youth Hangouts throughout Frankston Municipality. We offer a selection of fun, supervised activities, information and support for young people during school terms. To access our programs you must complete our ‘program registration and indemnity form,’ if you have any questions please contact us.

Frankston Youth Central

Frankston Youth Central Logo

Frankston Youth Central is located in the heart of Frankston, opposite to the Frankston Library.

Young people aged 12-24 can get free support, information, and referrals from our experienced youth workers. 

Youth can also take part in a range of activities throughout the week. For more details and up to date information please see our social pages Instagram and Facebook. Alternatively, please call us on 9768 1366 Mon – Fri 10am – 5pm.

If you or a young person requires urgent support outside of hours please reach out to Kids Helpline, 1800 55 1800 anytime for any reason 24 hours a day.

Central Hangout

Monday and Thursday
3.00pm – 4.45pm

At Youth Central hangout you can:

  • PLAY games
  • Have FUN 
  • TALK to a youth worker
  • MEET with friends and make new ones
  • EAT snacks

Please note: all Youth Service sites and face to face programs will not run during lockdown periods. This drop in will run online, please see ONLINE HANGOUT for more information.

Online Hangout

Monday

Discovery Program

Monday & Thursday
12pm – 2pm

One-on-one support and referrals around gaining employment, education, programs, and other needs.
We can assist you with applications, licenses, budgeting, referrals and navigating difficult situations.

Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions the Discovery Program will be offered online via Zoom

There are six hangouts located across Frankston Municipality. 

Carrum Downs Hangout

The Carrum Downs Hangout is on the What Bus! We have games, activities, snacks, and music. It is a great place to catch up with friends and make new ones, plus there is loads of info and friendly youth workers on board to support you.

In Term 1 we are enjoying the sun at Pines Aquatic Centre. Come down and say ‘hi’ – free entry.

Wendy and Scotty will be there having fun in the sun and excited to meet new people.

Frankston South Hangout

We have games and activities including a pool table, consoles, food, music, craft, guitars, all for FREE. It is a great place to catch up with friends and make new ones. Plus, there is loads of info, and friendly youth workers to support you.

Karingal Hangout

At the Karingal Hangout, we alternate fortnightly between cooking AKA Wok ’n’ Roll at Karingal PLACE and hanging out at Ballam Park

Kicking off with Wok ’n’ Roll on 9th Feb running fortnightly. You can cook, create, make and take home a meal all while learning new skills – all FREE. Please BYO your own take away container.

Every other fortnight from Feb 16th we will be hanging out at Ballam Park. We will have food, music and games available. Or you can just chill and chat with youth workers, catch up with friends or make new ones. Subject to weather.

The Langwarrin Hangout is on the What Bus!

We have games and activities including a Play Station 4 and Nintendo Switch. It is a great place to catch up with friends and make new ones! Plus, there is loads of info and friendly youth workers on board to support you.

What We Offer

We offer youth programs and events to support young people aged 12-24 and their families within Frankston City municipality with support, information, and referral pathways.

Our experienced youth workers can assist with:    

  • Structured activities, programs and events specifically for young people
  • Individualised support around referrals and information for support services in the local Frankston Area
  • Support around life skills, resumes, cover letters, job and education applications, study support, housing, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Centrelink applications, birth certificates, the list goes on
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • FREE access to Wi-Fi, PCs, scanning and printing (During youth central opening hours)
  • L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program (Assisting young Learners to acquire the necessary 120 hours required to gain their P’s)
