Frankston Planning Scheme Review
The Frankston Planning Scheme sets out policies and requirements for the use, development and protection of land within Frankston City.
Every four years, Council undertakes a review of the Frankston Planning Scheme within 12 months of the adoption of the Council Plan, a legislative requirement under Section 12B of Planning and Environment Act 1987 and Section 89 (2)e of the Local Government Act 2020 .
This is to ensure that the Frankston Planning Scheme is kept up to date, is able to respond to emerging planning issues and challenges and is an effective decision-making tool.
The Planning Scheme Review will commence in late 2025.
