What we can and cannot collect

How to arrange your hard waste for collection

  • Maximum two cubic metres of hard waste
  • Please arrange into 5 separate stacks 
  • Allow clear access
  • Place items out the nature strip no earlier than two days before scheduled collection
What we can collect What we cannot collect
Household Furniture No Tyres, wheels or batteries
Mattresses and BedBases ( Max of 2) No fencing, rubble, soil, bricks or concrete
Clothing

No poisons, pool chemicals

Scrap Metal, Lawn Mowers, Hot Water Systems, White Goods, Electrical Items No asbestos, cement sheeting or sharps
E-Waste, TV's, DVD Players, Computers No gas bottles, fuel tanks or water tanks
Timber up to 1.5m long (Max 12 pieces) No unwrapped glass

Bundled Green Waste (no longer than 1.5m)

Branches up to 15cm in diameter

Tree Stumps to weigh less than 30kg

No household garbage or recyclables suitable for the household bins
Carpet Rolls up to 1.5m long No untied green waste or green waste in plastic bags
No waste from industrial and commercial premises or businesses operated from home

Other disposal options

If your unwanted household items are reusable and in good condition, please consider donating to local charities.

Residents can also take hard waste, green waste and recyclables to the Frankston Regional Recycling and Recovery Centre (FRRRC) year-round, with many items accepted for free.
