Monterey Reserve is a well-loved outdoor destination in Frankston North and we want to see it transformed into a thriving community space for people of all ages through a major precinct revitalisation.

The proposed upgrade is part of the Monterey Reserve Master Plan, adopted by Council is 2023 following extensive consultation with the local community.

What will be delivered

  • Upgraded youth space and play space (including the sound shell) for families of all ages to enjoy;
  • A new multi-generational space offering exercise opportunities for our wisest residents;
  • Upgraded picnic area and car park;
  • Improved soccer social and spectator areas;
  • Water sensitive urban design and greening elements, bring the area back to nature;
  •  Upgraded paths and new sustainable pathway lighting;
  • Public toilet with a Changing Places facility.

Council will match the State Government’s contribution to this project, and is also seeking $2 million from the Federal Government towards a total project value of $6 million.
