Community Connectors

The opportunity
With growing momentum for change across the community, the Frankston Station and Young Street Precinct has the potential to be a thriving precinct. This central location holds huge potential for developers, investors, businesses and consumers alike. However, a range of comprehensive issues and antisocial behaviours presented within the precinct are negatively impacting community sentiment and visitor experiences. A new initiative putting mental health and social support practitioners in the heart of Frankston’s city centre is assisting businesses, community members and passengers who frequent the precinct and those facing complex challenges.
What will be delivered
Through a partnership with the Victorian Government, we can ensure continuity of this important service supporting our most vulnerable where and when they need it, while increasing public safety in the city centre.
What we need
Council has provided funding through a partnership with Metro Trains Melbourne and Southeast Community Links towards the Community Connectors project for 2025-2026 and 2026-27.
We are seeking $750,000 contribution towards five-year program for Community Connectors within Frankston Station and the Young Street Precinct
