Apply for a drainage inspection

You can request a drainage inspection when installation at a new development is complete. A Council Officer will inspect your site to ensure works:

  • are installed according to the approved plans
  • do not damage Council assets or existing infrastructure.

You should only submit a request when installation is complete. If a Council Officer visits your site and it is not ready for inspection, you will need to resubmit a request and pay the fee again.

Step 1.Prepare your request

You will need:

  • your contact details
  • property address
  • related building or permit numbers (optional).

Step 2.Submit your request

Call our Engineering Services team on 9784 1884 to request an inspection.

Step 3.What happens next?

A Council officer will conduct an inspection to ensure drainage works have been installed as per approved plans. The applicant will need to be onsite for the inspection.

If your drainage works do not comply with approved plans, we will let you know what you need to do to rectify the works. Once rectified, you will need to reapply for inspection and pay the fee again.
