Playgroups are informal sessions where parents, caregivers and children from newborn to five years of age can play and socialise together. Parents and caregivers can meet new people, gain support and exchange parenting ideas.

Set up and run by parents and caregivers, playgroups allow a choice of activities (free or low-cost) that meet varying needs of children such as:

  • Music and singing
  • Imaginative play
  • Outdoor and free play
  • Art and craft activities
  • Outings
