Animal Noise - Barking Dogs

Dog and all pet owners must ensure their animals do not become a nuisance to other residents with excessive noise or smells. Occasionally, owners may be unaware that there is a problem. It is always recommended that neighbours discuss these issues with each other in a calm and positive way. This is usually the best way to solve a noise nuisance issue.

The Responsible Pet Ownership - Barking Dogs brochure offer tips about why dogs bark, things a dog owner can do and things a complainant can do.

If a noise nuisance continues and attempts have been made to resolve it, please contact the Community Safety department by calling 1300 322 322 for further information. You will be asked to provide details of  the address, number of dogs/animals, which dogs are barking and you must provide your name, address and a contact number. Anonymous complaints are not able to be investigated.
