2025 Men’s Health Week

2024-Mens-Health-Week

Men’s Health Week (MHW) takes place from Monday 9th June to Sunday 15th June 2025.

In Australia, MHW provides a platform for organisations and communities to draw attention to the poor state of men’s health, organise meaningful activities and advocate for changes that improve health and wellbeing outcomes for men and boys.

If we are to create healthy, safe and respectful communities - we must invest in the health and wellbeing of the boys and men in our lives.

Frankston City Council is facilitating FREE events to celebrate Men’s Health Week in collaboration with local men’s groups, Mornington Peninsula Shire and Kingston City Council.

Matt Brown – She Is Not Your Rehab
Wednesday 11th June, 6:30pm – 9pm at Frankston Arts Centre

Presented by the Men’s Wellbeing Network (Frankston & Mornington Peninsula) join us for an inspiring evening with Matt Brown - founder of the global anti-violence movement and self-titled book: She Is Not Your Rehab.

Matt is a New Zealand-born Samoan author, speaker, and advocate working to end domestic violence by supporting men to heal.

A survivor of family violence and childhood abuse himself, Matt founded She Is Not Your Rehab — an initiative born from his barbershop that invites men to acknowledge their trauma and take responsibility for their healing, so they can transform their pain instead of passing it on to others.

This is a unique opportunity to hear Matt’s powerful story and insights on men’s mental wellbeing and to help break the cycle of violence to create healthy and respectful communities.

Light refreshments provided and copies of Matt’s book will be available for purchase on the night.
