Parent and Guardian Education Programs

Frankston City Council provides support and training for parents, guardians or grandparents of children from birth to six years of age and their families.

This professional, family-centred primary health service is universal, culturally sensitive and free of charge for Frankston City residents.

Families or professionals wanting a referral or information on Council's Enhanced Services can do so through their Maternal and Child Health Nurse.

Parent Education Sessions

Council's Parent Education Program offers friendly sessions which are free for local families including:

  • Sleep and Settling for Newborns, 3-6 months, 7-12 months
  • Baby Cues
  • Foods for Baby 4-12 months
  • Toilet training

Baby Cues

Having a baby can be a wonderful time in the lives of parents. It can also leave you wanting answers to many questions such as "What does my baby need and want?" This session aims to help parents learn what your newborn is trying to communicate to you.
