Frankston City Council has launched its Transparency Hub, offering the Community unprecedented access to a wide ranging and insightful City data.
The new user-friendly tool helps ratepayers understand how their money is spent. Users can find everything from capital works schedules and awarded contracts to traffic movements and animal registrations.
The Transparency Hub is a key initiative of the Council Plan 2021-2025, and is the latest initiative of the Accountability and Transparency Reform actions which Council has been implementing since 2018.
Mayor Nathan Conroy said the new Hub will help the public better understand the decisions which Council makes and how it manages resources.
“We believe the Transparency Hub will build trust between Council and the public, but also hope it encourages the Community to become more involved in Council matters,” Mayor Conroy said.
