Frankston Line Disruptions

Works Commencing: Tuesday 2 January until Tuesday 9 January 2018

Location: Flinders Street Station to Morrabbin Stations

Duration of Works: Tuesday 9 January 2018

Description of Works: A range of bus services will be operating, including limited express and stopping all stations services, to help make your journey as direct as possible.

Disruptions Expected: Allow an extra 75mins travel time

Ballam Park Playground Redevelopment

Works Commencing: Monday 9 October and will take approximately six weeks to complete, weather permitting

Location: Ballam Park, 260R Cranbourne Road, Frankston

Duration of Works: Completion due in late 2017

Description of Works: Replacing the soft fall matting that will ensure its long-term durability for families to enjoy a safe play environment for years to come

Disruptions Expected: During the works the area has been fenced off and some play equipment is closed to the public

Ballam Park East Pavilion

Location: Ballam Park East Pavilion (AKA Karingal Bulls Football Pavilion), 260R Cranbourne Road, Frankston (Entry off Naranga Cr)

Works commencing: Commencing Monday 20 February 2017 with construction anticipated to be complete in February 2018

Description of works: The scope of works includes demolition of existing Football Pavilion, construction of new shared sporting and community pavilion, construction of adjacent netball court and sports lighting and associated civil works and connection of services

Disruptions expected: Access to the pavilion and immediate surrounds will be restricted during the works

Carrum Downs Multipurpose Pavilion

Location: Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve, 45R Wedge Road, Carrum Downs

Work commencing: Monday 15 May 2017 with completion due in Winter 2018

Description of works: Construction of a new multi-use pavilion, adjacent public toilet facilities, associated civil works and car park

Disruptions expected: Access to the western side oval and immediate surrounds will be restricted during the works

Frankston Line Crossings managed by Level Crossing Removal Authority

Works Commencing: November 2015

Location: Various locations along the Frankston Line

Duration of Works: Ongoing for the next eight years

Description of Works: Removing 50 dangerous and congested level crossings will transform the way people live, work and travel across metropolitan Melbourne and improve safety for drivers and pedestrians
