Tree Management Program Updates

Council conducts street tree maintenance across Frankston City in an ongoing two-year cycle, including trimming trees from power lines and footpaths and improving tree health. 

All vegetation maintenance works is required to be carried out in compliance with the Electricity Safety (Electric Line Clearance) Regulation 2015. These regulations stipulate a minimum safe clearance between trees and powerlines, to keep re-growth clear of powerlines. 

December

In December 2019, tree maintenance will be undertaken in Zone 16, which includes the Frankston Hospital, Yuille Street, Sycamore Road and Moorooduc Highway areas and in Zone 0, Frankston city centre.

Maintenance includes clearing trees from power lines and roads.

November

In November 2019 tree maintenance will be undertaken in Zone 3.

Maintenance will include uplifting tree canopy over roads and paths, removing poor form, condition trees and clearing trees from power lines.
