Spooky Storytime treats for your ghosts and ghouls

Thursday 24 October 2019

There’s something spooky going on at the Frankston libraries this Halloween.

From gruesome tales about ghosts and ghouls to scary face painting and creepy craft, there’s lots of frightening fun to be had on Thursday 31 October at the Frankston and Carrum Downs libraries.

Spooky Storytime will run from 6pm to 7pm.

Frankston City Council Mayor Michael O’Reilly said it will be a fun night for kids and adults alike.

“The face painters are at the ready,” the Mayor said.

“Frankston Library and Carrum Downs Library will be the place for trick or treating this Halloween with craft, stories and fun for the whole family.

“Storytime is often for the littlies, but Halloween provides an opportunity for us to host a special event for our primary school witches and wizards at our libraries.

“We encourage the kids, and the adults if they like, to dress up in their scariest costume while our Family Literacy officers read spooky stories and you can even make your own trick or treat bag to take home.”

Spooky Storytime is a FREE event suitable for children aged 5-12 years, due to the themes of the books being read.

Bookings are essential, phone 9784 1020 or you can book online or in person at any library branch.
