Our Frankston Revitalisation team is working with Capital Works and Economic Development on a $1.63 million revitalisation project, to transform Station Street Mall. The improvements, part of our Connecting Malls Project, will transform the mall into a safe and welcoming public space while connecting Frankston Station to Bayside and Shannon Mall.
Construction works have commenced onsite with the following activities now completed or underway:
- Existing street lighting has been removed and temporary construction lighting is in place
- Existing trees have been transplanted to Weatherston Reserve in Seaford
- Existing brick Pavers have been removed to allow for foundation work and underground drainage and services are currently being installed
- Permanent additional CCTV installation is complete
All shops in the mall remain open and works will be restricted to mostly business hours to minimise disruption. Works should be completed by mid-October, subject to weather conditions.
