There’s no better way to spend a warm weekend than playing by the bay with good friends, great food and a stellar line up at The Waterfront Festival.
Now in its 21st year, the festival on Frankston’s iconic waterfront has drawn some of Australian music’s most sought after live acts.
You can chill on the lawn and soak up the tunes, dance or make the music your background soundtrack while you brave the rides or shop the market stalls.
The mainstage will feature Kingswood, acclaimed indigenous vocalist, Emma Donovan and Melbourne rhythm combo, The Putbacks.
Visitors will also be treated to performances by The Tarantinos, Phil Para, Brooke Taylor, TK Reeve and INSTYNKT.
This is a family friendly event and the kids are sure to love the fishing lessons, roving entertainers and amusement rides, including Australia’s largest transportable extreme ride, The Beast!
Fuel your weekend of fun with delicious cuisine from some of Victoria’s best food trucks, as well as wine and craft beer from the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.
On Saturday night, settle in for a spectacular fireworks display over the bay at 9.45.
Frankston City Council Mayor, Sandra Mayer, invited locals and visitors of all ages to come and enjoy a showcase of the city’s finest.
“We’ve put on some great acts and are hoping people will come down and enjoy the music, food and stunning waterfront Frankston is famous for,” the Mayor said.
“Bring your bathers because there will be sailing and stand-up paddle boarding during the day and then you can relax on the lawn and watch the sun set over the bay.”
The Waterfront Festival is one of Council’s major fundraising events for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, so look out for donation tins across the site.
