Station Street Road Closure - Commmunity Consultation

Notice is hereby given that at its meeting on 29 January 2019, and in the exercise of a power conferred by section 206, Schedule 10, Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 (‘Act’), Frankston City Council (‘Council’) resolved that statutory procedures be commenced to consider the road closure of Station Street Mall and of a short section of Station Street in Frankston to vehicular traffic. 

The location of the proposed road closure to vehicular traffic is shown hatched on the plan below:

Community members have until 11 March, 2019 to provide feedback.

Any person may make a submission to this proposal.  All submissions received on or before Monday 11 March, 2019 will be considered by Council in accordance with section 223 of the Act. 

Any person making a submission is entitled to request (in the submission itself) to be heard at a Council meeting in support of the submission, either in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf.  Notice of the meeting date and time will be given to each person who has lodged a submission. 

Submitters should note that Council is required to maintain a public register of submissions received during the previous 12 months.  Unless a submitter requests to the contrary, copies of submissions (including the submitters’ names and addresses) may also be included in the Council meeting agenda and minutes, which are a permanent public record, and which are published on Council’s website.
