Hartnett Precinct Local Area Traffic Management Policy

As part of Frankston City Council’s Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Strategy, to improve traffic management and road safety within the municipality, the Engineering Services department has engaged HDS Australia Pty Ltd to undertake the Hartnett Precinct LATM Study. This precinct is bounded by Seaford Road to the north, Frankston-Dandenong Road to the east, Klauer Street to the south and Frankston Freeway to the west.

The precinct contains approximately 800 households, and 400 commercial properties.

What is a Local Area Traffic Management Study?

An LATM study is a process to identify existing traffic and road safety issues through investigation of residents’ and traders’ concerns and develop recommendations to improve safety, deter through traffic, and encourage walking and cycling to make your area safer and improve residential amenity.

Community consultation and public participation

Community participation is essential in identifying existing traffic issues in the local area.  If you have any concerns relating to traffic, road safety, pedestrian or cyclist issues, you are strongly encouraged to complete a five minute questionnaire. Consultation closes by Friday 15 November.

You are also invited to a community meeting to be held from 6.30–8.30pm, Wednesday 27 November, Belvedere Community Centre, 36 Belvedere Road, Seaford. At the meeting you will have the opportunity to provide your input on local street issues and suggestions for improvements.  Ward Councillors may also be in attendance.

Your input will greatly assist Council in identifying the key traffic issues within your local area so that an effective traffic management scheme can be developed.
