Draft Stronger Families Policy

Council proposes to introduce a new Stronger Families Policy which guides the approach to improving outcomes through universal support services including early childhood development, youth services, aged care and community centre-based programs.

Council has a prevention role and as such, a number of prevention approaches to such things as family violence are embedded in the services.

A copy of the proposed new Policy can be downloaded below. Hard copies can be printed on request at any Council Customer Service Centre. Find your nearest location, here.

Any person may make a written submission to the proposed new Policy.

All submissions received on or before 29 November 2019 will be considered and included as part of the Council Report that will be presented to Council at its Ordinary Meeting in January 2020.
