Draft Local Shopping Strip Action Plan
We are seeking your feedback on the Draft Local Shopping Strip Action Plan which has been prepared to provide guidance for the future design, development and management of all local shopping strips in Frankston City over the next 10 years.
Frankston City Council has 26 local shopping strips and we want to make sure that each is vibrant, attractive, functional and safe to use. To do this, we have developed the Draft Local Shopping Strip Action Plan which assesses the existing conditions of each shopping strip and identifies opportunities for their improvement. Importantly, it also includes a recommended programme of local shopping strip improvement projects to be implemented over the next 10 years.
The Draft Action Plan has been informed by a preliminary round of community consultation which took place in April and May of 2020. This consultation sought feedback from the community about how they use their local shopping strips and what improvements they would like to see. The results of this consultation are included in the Draft Action Plan.
