Cr Kris Bolam JP FAIM has been a resident of Frankston for over 20 years and been involved in the community for the majority of this time. With previous employment in the recruitment and energy sectors, Cr Bolam was first elected to Frankston City Council in 2008 and served until 2012 for North-West Ward. He is the youngest elected Councillor, youngest Mayor (2010-2011) and youngest Deputy Mayor (2011-2012) in the municipal history of Frankston. He is also the youngest Justice of the Peace in Victorian history upon appointment in 2008.
After not contesting the 2012 Frankston City Council election, Cr Bolam joined Victoria Police as a sworn Protective Services Officer (First Class). Cr Bolam has also served on a number of community boards and was recognised as a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management in 2015.
In 2016 Cr Bolam was again elected to Frankston City Council taking the first vacancy for North-West Ward. Cr Bolam has raised the most motions of any councillor in a council term having accrued 110 motions in a single term. Cr Bolam has a strong record of achievement as a past and present representative; and identifies strong fiscal management and good governance improvements as his priorities for this council term.
