Due to the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19 and the announcements by Federal and State Government regarding public health and safety, Council is strongly encouraging residents to watch Ordinary and Special Meetings via online live streaming instead of attending in person from the next Ordinary Meeting on 30 March 2020 and ongoing until further notice. Thank you for understanding and support.
Council’s next Ordinary Meeting on Monday 30 March 2020 will be held in the Theatre at the Frankston Arts Centre to meet the requirements for social distancing of 4m2. Importantly, the Frankston Arts Centre is otherwise temporarily closed with the Council Chambers unable to hold a limited capacity. Only Councillors and relevant officers will be in the Theatre with measures in place to meet social distancing requirements. It should be noted that residents who choose to attend, will be seated in the Rotary room at the Arts Centre to observe the meeting via the live streaming and will be set up to seat 1 person per 5m2 to allow room for walking in between the allocated seating.
These measures have been introduced with regard to the Commonwealth government’s guidance on social distancing and for the safety of our community and will remain in place for all future Council Meetings until further notice. If these arrangements need to change updates will be provided.
