2018 Youth Grants

Applications have now closed for 2018.

Youth Grants are open to young people aged 12-24 years living, working and or studying in the Frankston area.

Successful recipients could receive up to $500 to help with educational expenses such as equipment and materials for courses, training and career aspirations. All Youth Grants are subject to a selection criteria, and are allocated by a committee, based on this criteria.

Frankston City Council Youth Services offer a range of programs for young people aged between 12 – 25 years.  On Saturday November the 10th we are hosting a ‘Colour Walk’ and ‘Underage Rainbow Party’ to raise funds for Headspace Frankston Peninsula Pride, who support LGBTIQA+ young people throughout the Frankston and Mornington-Peninsula region.

The Colour Walk Event

On Saturday 10 November we are hosting a ‘Colour Walk’ from 4pm – 7pm and ‘Underage Rainbow Party’ from 7pm – 10pm to raise funds for Headspace Frankston Peninsula Pride, who support LGBTIQA+ young people throughout the Frankston and Mornington-Peninsula region.

The Colour Walk is for everyone in the community. This event is being supported by School Fun Run who will facilitate your fundraising efforts.  Please visit and register at

You will be asked to create a student profile.  Enter Frankston City Council as your school.  You can link your fundraising efforts to your social media accounts. This will help you to raise more funds to support Peninsula Pride.  All participants are eligible for prizes.

At the event there will be a sausage sizzle, music, games, giant inflatable twister, and bungee run (gold coin donation). Many local services will be there to cheer you on!

Register now and share your fundraising link via social media. Encourage family and friends to register and walk with you!

  • Sign in at the Dolphins Football Ground at 4pm.

Please wear a white T-shirt so the rainbow of colour stands out. Bring along a drink bottle.

Rainbow Party

It’s time for the adults to go home and for the young people (aged 12 -17 years) to attend a free dance party at the Dolphins Function Rooms.  DJ Masters will be performing. Soft drinks and snacks will be available for $2. This is strictly an alcohol and drug free event with no pass outs.  You may be asked to provide identification.  Experienced Youth Workers will be supervising.
