Inviting Small Birds to your Garden - Online Webinar

Join us in this webinar presented by Richard Rowe from Sustainable Gardening Australia and learn all about the secret life of small birds.

This webinar sees the conclusion of the nation-wide Backyard Bird Count however you can survey your bird population all year round (for more info visit birdlife.org.au).

Over the years the bird count results have brought to attention the diminishing numbers of small bird populations. With the expansion of the urban environment seeing small birds visit our gardens is becoming less common, but there are changes we can make that will encourage them back.

Small birds need a safe home to live, breed and bring up their families. This means finding ways we can introduce food, shelter, water and nesting sites which are normally provided within their natural environments within our home garden.

This webinar will share some of the challenges small birds face in the urban environment and what you can do in your garden to invite them back to visit. Discover which local species can be found in Frankston.

This is the second session in the Greening our City webinar series. You are welcome to attend all the sessions or just the ones that interest you.
