Food for Thought: World Environment Day Mini Fair

When: Saturday 1 June 2019 10am to 1pm
Where: Frankston Arts Centre, 27–37 Davey Street Frankston

  • Talk by Matthew Evans: 10am (SOLD OUT)
  • Mini Fair: 11am – 1pm (open to everyone)

Matthew’s talk at 10 am is fully booked, but there is a waiting list  in case of cancellations. However the Mini Fair from 11am – 1pm will still be open for everyone to attend. Food and drinks will be available at the Bar – bring along your Keep Cup if you have one!

Wasted food has a big impact on your hip pocket and the environment. To mark World Environment Day, come and get inspired to rethink the way you do food… and reap the rewards.

The event will kick off with special guest Matthew Evans, presenter and popular Gourmet Farmer on SBS, with tips on creating great meals that are good for the environment as well as you, including a cooking demonstration. Matthew has written 11 books on food and is a passionate advocate for sustainable food production. Once a chef and food critic, he now lives and works on Fat Pig Farm in the Huon Valley where he hosts farm to table restaurant meals.

The Mini Fair will have a variety of stalls showcasing bright new ideas and old-school solutions to avoid and reduce all kinds of waste, including food.

Tickets are FREE for Matthew's demonstration but bookings are essential.
