In this series of free, fun and energetic workshops, young people aged 6 – 12 will be invited and encouraged to play using clowning and movement techniques.
These workshops will explore finding the way you move and perform, exploring the idea that there is no right way to move. The workshops will involve movement exercises and games and will give participants the chance to explore how the body wants to and likes to move - and how this can be utilised in performance, play, general confidence, public speaking and daily life.
No previous experience in drama or theatre is necessary to join in, just a willingness to have fun and participate. We encourage participants to come along to all three workshops as a series, however coming along to one or two is fine! To secure your place, please book via the Frankston Arts Centre Box Office – places are limited!
Other Information: Students need to bring comfortable clothes to move in, a water bottle and parents/caregivers are to sign a workshop participation form at the commencement of the workshop. The workshop is a drop off style workshop, however parents/caregivers are welcome to wait onsite whilst their young person is participating. The workshop will be closed, for participants only – however there may be opportunities towards the end of the workshops to share and show.
