The Waterfront Festival is a fantastic day of fun and excitement for people of all ages showcasing Frankston’s iconic Waterfront and celebrating Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula’s food, wine, craft beer, arts, culture and musicians.
Enjoy live music across the weekend, get involved in a plethora of free interactive activities and indulge in great food, wine, beer and cider while you dance the weekend away in the sunshine. Peruse the market stalls showcasing locally and handmade products and experience a thrill with rides and amusements for all ages.
There is no better way to spend a summer’s weekend then by the bay, with good friends, great food and memorable entertainment.

Getting to the Festival
The Waterfront Festival is an accessible event
- Accessible unisex toilets
- Pram and wheelchair accessible pathways
- Accessible parking around the City centre and the event is accessible by Public Transport
- There are a limited number of accessible car parking spaces in the Southern car park (near Sofia’s Restaurant), along Nepean Highway and in Davey Street. A drop off zone is located in the Service Lane near Davey’s Bar and Bistro.
The boat launching ramp and car park along with the Pier Promenade car park and Waterfront playground will be closed to all traffic and permit holders from 12:30am on Friday 15 February, until 2am on Monday 18 February. Alternative boat launching facilities are available at Oliver’s Hill.
There will be no parking available at the Waterfront and parking will be limited in the immediate surrounding area.
It is recommended that event patrons park at Bayside Shopping Centre’s Entertainment Complex, Frankston Arts Centre, Plowman Place, Frankston Civic Centre, High Street, Davey Street, Nepean Highway (southbound) and Wells Street, all of which are a 5-10 minute walk to the festival. Fees and restrictions may apply. We also suggest Public Transport if possible.
Traffic will be unable to turn right at the lights into Pier Promenade from Nepean Highway (southbound). Traffic travelling along Nepean Highway between Davey Street and Liddesdale Avenue (north and south bound) will be slowed to 40Km p/h.
Visit the Public Transport Victoria website for timetables and to plan your journey. From Frankston Station take the 772 bus to Pier Promenade, Frankston. Alternatively, catch a taxi or Uber from the train station (approx. 1.3km).
