Frankston City Council’s International Women’s Day 2020 Community Celebration is not to be missed.
The afternoon session features a performance of You Throw Like A Girl, this sketch comedy celebrates some of the game changing women in Australia’s history.
Did you know the first Australian on the cover of Time magazine was a girl? Or that the first person to fly an airplane from Australia to South Africa was also…wait for it… a girl!?
Following their sell out shows at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Jess Pratt, Darcy Dann and Grace Sabbatucci are bringing their show to Frankston.
The evening session will be hosted by our MC, Joanna Hayter AO with a special keynote presentation by Nova Peris OAM sharing her story, from representing Australia at the Olympics in two different sports; hockey and athletics, to being the first Aboriginal woman elected into Federal Parliament.
An important part of the celebration event is to encourage members of the audience to share their stories too, Jessica Pratt will facilitate a session where we will hear from the audience.
The second performance ofYou Throw Like A Girlwill then commence followed by a networking opportunity for all participants with canapés and light refreshments.
