Council is again hosting an opportunity for the local Carrum Downs community to come and learn more about an exciting project that will transform the Sandfield Reserve into a space for people of all ages and interests to enjoy. Project officers will be on-site to answer your questions and seek your support for this transformative local project.

Local ward councillor and Mayor Nathan Conroy will be on-site to engage with local residents and discuss the project.

Council and federal member for Dunkley, Peta Murphy, have committed $1.3 million each to the project thus far.

As identified in Council's Sandfield Reserve Masterplan, the $4 million project includes:

• Playground upgrades for all ages and abilities
• BBQ and picnic area
• Football oval for use by community and Rowellyn Primary School
• Fitness equipment
• Public events space
• Youth space and extended skate park
• Public toilets, drainage and ecology projects.
