Sandfield Reserve Advocacy and Engagement Pop-Up
Council is hosting an opportunity for the local Carrum Downs community to come and learn more about an exciting project that will transform the Sandfield Reserve into a space for people of all ages and interests to enjoy. Project officers will be on-site to answer your questions and seek your support ahead of the 2022 federal and state elections, where Council is seeking equal contributions of $1.33 million from local candidates to deliver this important project.
Local ward councillor and Mayor Nathan Conroy will be on-site to engage with local residents and discuss the project.
As identified in Councils Sandfield Reserve Masterplan, the $4 million project includes:
• Playground upgrades for all ages and abilities
• BBQ and picnic area
• Football oval for use by community and Rowellyn Primary School
• Fitness equipment
• Public events space
• Youth space and extended skate park
• Public toilets, drainage and ecology projects.
