CommBank Planned maintenance on Saturday, 20 September 2025, from 12:00am to 9:00am AEST. During this time, some services may be limited or unavailable.
On Wednesdays, our volunteer guides will take you on the new 3km Kookaburra Bush Circuit (takes approximately 1-1.5hours to complete). On this walk you will experience walking along the newly built boardwalk, and walk through a shaded gully abundant with wattles, pine and native grasses. The loop is completed via the wide Sweetwater Track beside the creek where you can hear eastern brown froglets. There will be a short rest at the Watercraft Launch lookout to see cormorants and ducks before strolling across the picturesque dam wall. (This walk is not suitable for prams or bicycles). On Thursdays, we take the Heathland Bush Circuit which is 1.8km and is approximately 45 mins in duration (return). The trail loops through damp heathy woodland and you will wander through upper canopy eucalypts, a shrub layer including wattles and tea-trees, and abundant ground level native grasses and sedges. This trail offers an amazing diversity of wildflowers and showcases the remnant bushland of Frankston South. Keep your eyes peeled for Blue-tongue lizards, Blue-billed Ducks and our two resident koalas who call this park home. You can join the Frankston Nature Conservation Park Walk as a once-off to explore somewhere new, or as a regular part of your wellbeing or fitness routine. Please meet your guides at Jeremy Way Carpark. Please bring a water bottle and wear closed toe-footwear. It is recommended that participants bring a hat, apply sunblock and insect repellent prior to the walk and wear appropriate clothing for all weather conditions. Please note the following:
