Guided Ranger Activities of Frankston's natural attractions
Unfortunately our regular Ranger Walks and Activities have been put on a temporary hold, we apologise for any inconvenience. In the meantime you can download our Activity Sheets and take them out to your local park or even the backyard to help you explore nature close up.
We expect Ranger activities will be back up and running again during the April school holidays, keep an eye on the website for more information. You can visit the Discover Frankston page for other ideas to have fun connecting with nature.
And remember to look after the bush, it’s home to many wonderful creatures.

Frankston City Bio Blitz
Want to become a citizen Scientist during the holidays? To celebrate Biodiversity month in September, Frankston City is taking part in “Bio Blitz 2021”, competing with 8 other Councils to see who can record the most species.
Getting involved is easy! Join this project and during September head outdoors to snap photos of any flora and fauna in the Frankston area and upload them using the iNaturalist App.
This year we are on the lookout for Koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus) and Tawny Frogmouths (Podargus strigoides) to see just how common they really are. However, you can record anything else you find too.
