Our Youth spaces

Visit us at Frankston Youth Central or our 6 youth Hangouts throughout Frankston Municipality. We offer a selection of fun, supervised activities for young people during school terms. 

Frankston Youth Central

Frankston Youth Central Logo

Frankston Youth Central is located in the heart of Frankston, opposite to the Frankston Library.

Young people aged 12-24 can get free support, information, and referrals from our experienced youth workers. 

Youth can also take part in a range of activities throughout the week, see below. For further details view the 2021 Programs Guide(PDF, 22MB)

For the remainder of 2021 we will be out in the community at various locations in the WHAT bus, providing a safe and inclusive environment for all young people and will not be running Youth Hangouts or Drop In’s.

Online Hangout

Drop-In

Monday, Wednesday & Friday

At Youth Central Drop In you can

  • Play video games
  • Have fun playing pool
  • Talk to a youth worker
  • Meet with friends and make new ones

Please note: all Youth Service sites and face to face programs will not run during lockdown periods. This drop in will run online, please see DROP-IN for more information.

Discovery Program

Thursday
3.15pm-4.45pm


One-on-one support and referrals around gaining employment, education, programs, and services.
We can assist you with applications, licenses, budgeting, referrals and navigating red tape.

Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions the Discovery Program will be offered online via Zoom

Carrum Downs Hangout

The Carrum Downs Hangout is on the What Bus! We have games and activities including a Play Station 4 and Nintendo Switch. It is a great place to catch up with friends and make new ones, plus there is loads of info and friendly youth workers on board to support you.

Karingal Hangout

At the Karingal Hangout, weeks alternate between cooking and sports activities, beginning with cooking on 05/02.
It’s a great chance to learn new skills, to catch up with friends and make new ones, plus there is loads of info and friendly youth workers to support you.

What We Offer

We offer youth programs and events, and assist young people aged 12-24 years, and their families, within Frankston City municipality with support, information and referrals.

Our experienced youth workers can assist with:         

  • Referrals and information about employment, education, and services
  • Structured activities and youth groups
  • Life skills programs 
  • Resumes, cover letters, and job applications     
  • Accommodation, AOD, and study support  
  • Peer support groups
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • FREE access to Wi-Fi, PCs, scanning and printing (During youth central opening hours only) 
  • L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program  (Assisting young Learners to acquire the necessary 120 hours required to gain their P’s)
