Ballam Park South Sports Pavilion

Frankston City Council is undertaking redevelopment works to the Ballam Park Soccer Pavilion (a.k.a Long Island Cricket Pavilion). The redevelopment works include the demolition of the existing pavilion and rebuilding of a new pavilion in the same location.

The existing pavilion currently houses Peninsula Strikers Junior Football Club. The Peninsula Strikers Junior FC is one of the largest Junior Clubs in Frankston with over 400 male and female players from age 5 and up. With the continual growth in junior soccer, this has led to the need for a new modernised sport pavilion which meets current building and accessibility standards.

The new pavilion will provide eight female friendly change rooms, kitchen/kiosk, social space, referee change rooms, storage, first aid facilities, and public toilets (for all park users). Parking and lighting will also be improved.

The construction is expected to start in early 2019, and take approximately 12 months to complete.

Council (and the builder) will endeavour to work with the community to minimise the impact of these works on the park precinct as much as possible during construction.
