2018-2019 Miscellaneous Grants

Grants for Individuals

  • Inclusion support Grants (75% of club fees, capped at $200)
    Open to school aged children up to the age of 18 years, residing in Frankston, needing assistance to join a local, not-for-profit sports club. Applicants must hold a health care card or pension concession card. 
  • Representative Support Grants (Up to $200 Individual; up to $300 Team)
    Open to any Frankston resident who is representing the municipality  by competing at an elite level, as part of an affiliated state, national or international event or activity.
  • Neighbourhood Grants (Up to $100)
    For eligible individuals and community organisations interested in celebrating their community and encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood.
  • Charitable Support Grants (Up to $500)
    Funding is available to support Frankston municipality residents, Frankston not-for-profit community groups or organisations that are incorporated with their fundraising activities to assist charitable causes. Support can be in-kind or financial.

Grants for Community Organisations

  • Neighbourhood Grants (Up to $100)
    For eligible individuals and community organisations interested in celebrating their community and encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood.
  • Youth Action Grants (Up to $500)
    For eligible groups of young people (aged 12-25 years) involved in youth led movements or student representative councils to advocate and, or implement positive improvements for the betterment of the whole community.
  • Quick Response Grants (Up to $500)
    Bridging financial support to groups who are eligible for, but have missed, the annual grants process and where the Committee considers there is a demonstrated need that cannot wait until the next round.
  • Community Group Membership Drive (Up to$500)
    Funding is available for eligible community and sporting organisations who can show a decline in membership over the past two years and are looking to recruit new members.
  • Charitable Support Grants (Up to $500)
    Funding is available to support Frankston municipality residents, Frankston not-for-profit community group or organisations that are incorporated with their fundraising activities to assist charitable causes. Support can be in-kind or financial.
  • Urgent Grants (Up to $1,000)
    Funding is available to assist community organisations with unexpected or urgent needs that could not have been anticipated or budgeted. Groups who have accessed the annual grants program will be eligible for funding since urgent grants are only for unexpected, unplanned and urgent needs.
  • Environmental Sustainability Grants (Up to $1,000)
    For community organisations with environmental and sustainability projects that support the strategic vision for Frankston’s future.

Application Information

Grant applications are now open and will be accepted until 23 May 2019.
Once funds are expended, the program will close for that financial year.
